CONTRACTION AND EXPANSION CONTROL

Focusing on the maximum performance and durability of the refractories, we perform all the activities related to expansion and contraction control.

In the planning stage, by specifying the composition of the refractory lining under heating or cooling, our Engineering teams prepare an estimate of the expected progress of the expansion or contraction levels, according to the theoretical curve of the material.

On carrying out the necessary measurements to monitor the actual contraction or expansion and comparison with the theoretical forecast, we count on operational teams with about 40 years of experience. Our personnel perform from the installation of instruments and reading of contraction levels to the orientation and execution of the adjustment of tie rods and pushers.
